Grayhill is pleased to announce Scott Kramer as our new Product Engineer II for the Mechanical Components group. Scott will be responsible for mechanical encoders and rotary DIP switches produced in our La Grange and Carpentersville facilities.
Scott has eight years of experience as a design engineer in the aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas industries. Most recently, Scott worked as a Starship Avionics Engineer for SpaceX where he improved the manufacturability and design reliability of camera components and performed root cause analysis and correction of issues with previous designs. He won the “Best Design for Manufacturing” award from SpaceX for his work on the Starship Camera. Scott has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which he obtained in 2014. In his free time, Scott enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, soccer, and video games.
