Announcing Jon Alexander’s promotion to the position of Senior Design Engineer in the Vehicle Solutions group.
Jon’s electrical engineering career has seen him grow from an entry-level engineer just out of college to a highly capable member of the Vehicle Solutions team. Jon is trusted to engage directly with Grayhill customers at project initiation. Jon leads the electrical hardware and software efforts for many projects guiding them from concept into production.
Jon’s project achievements include being lead electrical engineer on numerous John Deere projects including SSMs, NGOI variants, and the new user interface consoles. He led development on Volvo’s keypad and jog dial, JCB Landpower modules, and the Claas K08 Control Module. Jon also contributed significant hardware and software content to 3J / 3K Gen 2.0 products.
Other accomplishments while at Grayhill include writing Viewpart – complete with his trademark rabbit image! He developed specialized torque measuring equipment used to calibrate Claas parts and traveled for Grayhill supporting bids with CAT Japan taking advantage of his Japanese language skills. He also traveled to Shenzhen setting up John Deere SSM production way back in 2015.
